Company Overview

A well-established MEP contractor with a turnover of approximately £15 million is looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join their growing team. The business has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality electrical and MEP packages across NHS, Commercial, and Heritage buildings, with a consistent pipeline of secured work within the London area.

Role Overview

Based in London, the Electrical Project Manager will take full responsibility for managing a small portfolio of projects, typically up to £2 million in value. You will oversee projects from pre-construction through to final handover, ensuring delivery is safe, compliant, on programme, and commercially controlled.

This role suits a hands-on Project Manager who is comfortable working in live and sensitive environments and managing multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage electrical projects from inception through to completion

• Oversee 2–3 live projects with individual values up to £2m

• Manage site teams, supervisors, and subcontractors

• Control programme, budgets, variations, and procurement

• Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and regulations

• Maintain high standards of health & safety, particularly on NHS and heritage sites

• Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams

• Attend progress meetings and provide regular reporting

• Manage commissioning, testing, and final handover

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager within the MEP/building services sector

• Experience delivering projects in NHS, commercial, or heritage environments

• Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services

• Excellent commercial awareness and programme management skills

• Strong communication and leadership ability

• SMSTS (preferred)

• Relevant electrical qualifications
