HGV Class 1 - Heavy Plant Hire

Streamline Recruitment is hiring Class 1 HGV Drivers for a well-established lifting solutions company based in Dagenham. This role involves transporting abnormal loads, plant, and access hire equipment across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transporting abnormal loads including plant machinery and access hire equipment.
• Carrying out pre-use vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and compliance.
• Securing and loading/unloading cargo safely in line with regulations.
• Planning and following delivery routes efficiently while adhering to legal driving hours.
• Liaising with transport teams and customers to ensure smooth deliveries.
• Completing paperwork and logs accurately, including delivery notes and compliance documents.
• Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
• Handling overnight stays and weekend work as required.
• Operating specialized lifting equipment when necessary (if applicable).

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Class 1 HGV driving experience
• Experience with abnormal loads, plant, or access hire equipment is essential.
• Flexibility with working hours, nights out, and weekends
• Strong awareness of health and safety regulations

Package:

• Take-home salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (depending on overtime)
• Based in Dagenham, working various hours/shifts
• Flexibility required for nights out and weekend work
