Company Overview:
We are currently working with a well-established MEP contractor based in Canary Wharf, delivering high-quality mechanical packages within the commercial and banking sectors. Due to continued growth and secured projects, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their team.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing mechanical projects valued at up to £2 million, primarily within secure banking environments. This role requires strong commercial awareness, excellent organisational skills, and a solid understanding of contracts and financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the full lifecycle of mechanical projects from pre-construction through to handover
Oversee project delivery within live banking environments
Manage programmes, budgets, and cost control
Coordinate with design, procurement, and site teams
Manage subcontractors and direct labour
Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
Administer contracts, variations, and valuations
Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders
Oversee testing, commissioning, and final handover
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within commercial MEP projects
Strong knowledge of commercial works and fit-out environments
Experience managing projects up to £2 million
Solid understanding of contracts management and financial budgets
DBS clearance essential (banking sector projects)
Excellent communication and leadership skills
