Traffic Administrator

Streamline Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Traffic Administrator who has experience working within the container haulage sector, for a fantastic client of ours based in Stanford-le-Hope.

This is a busy, operational role supporting the traffic team, with a strong focus on container booking, liaising with drivers & customers, managing paperwork and updating systems.

Duties:

1. Working closely with the operations team to ensure bookings and job details are accurately allocated on VBS
2. Using TRUCKCOM to manage and update container movements
3. Receiving and issuing PIN numbers for container releases
4. Handling customer enquiries and providing updates on ETAs, delays and changes
5. Collating and checking paperwork for completed jobs
6. Participating in daily booking and administration activities, including managing emails and phone calls
7. Liaising effectively between the administration team, customers and internal departments
8. Applying knowledge of container sizes and specifications to ensure accurate bookings

What we’re looking for

1. Previous experience in a Traffic Administrator / Transport Administrator role
2. Container haulage experience is essential
3. Familiarity with VBS and TRUCKCOM systems (preferred)
4. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
5. Confident communicator with a customer-focused approach

£26,000 – £32,000 (DOE)

Monday – Friday,  08:00 – 16:00 or 09:00 – 17:00
