About

Hi, my name is Darien Gillis.

I am responsible for Managing the MEP Design Engineering Team at Streamline Recruitment; heading up a team of Resourcers and Recruitment Consultants who all specialise in the Building Services MEP Design Recruitment.

After 12 years combined service with The Parachute Regiment and Royal Air Force which I thoroughly enjoyed and gained invaluable life experience. I’ve completed combat tours in extremely challenging and hostile environments including Afghanistan and various other operations on a global scale. I however wanted to seek my next challenge and see what I could achieve and personally develop further in the corporate world. 

I moved into recruitment because I’m passionate about people and with my military back round, travelling around the world I consider myself an accomplished communicator in all environments. My 1st role in recruitment I was specializing in the Digital & Technology Transformation Space but my passion lies within construction, specifically in The MEP Design Space. I decided to make a sector move and joined Streamline Recruitment in 2024.

I’ve taken the values instilled in me from my military service and implemented them into my new profession including honesty, integrity, respect and excellence in everything I do. In my free time I like to spend time with my daughter, dabble in a variety of sports and socialise with family and friends. Always up for a challenge and enjoy pushing myself out of my comfort zone.
