We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced HGV Tug Driver to join their established logistics team. This is a temp to perm opportunity, offering the potential to secure a permanent position after a successful 13-week period. It is an ideal role for a professional driver looking for stability, consistent hours, and competitive pay.

Role Overview

As an HGV Tug Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers and goods within the client’s site. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth operational flow and timely transportation of stock. Key duties include:

• Maneuvering tugs and HGVs within the site
• Loading and unloading using a forklift (experience with clamp attachments is beneficial)
• Performing routine vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Adhering to all company policies and health & safety regulations
• Supporting general yard duties to maintain efficient site operations

Key Requirements

• Valid HGV License
• Valid Forklift License
• Solid understanding of workplace health and safety
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Desirable Experience

• Previous Tug Training or Shunter experience
• Experience using a clamp attachment
• Background in warehouse, logistics, or transport operations

• Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour
• Hours: 08:00 – 18:00, Monday to Friday
• Contract: Temp to Perm (transition to permanent employment after 13 weeks, subject to performance)
