LGV2 HIAB / Grab Driver

Streamline Recruitment have been given the opportunity to supply an LGV2 HIAB / grab driver to start as early as the 6th January 2025 to our client based in Chatham, Kent. As a driver you will be representing the company first hand, by being at the forefront of their business. Therefore the successful candidate will need excellent customer service understanding, paired with the ability and competency on the driving and operating side. 

Role:      

• Operate Class 2 vehicles equipped with HIAB (Brick Grab + Remote) efficiently and safely.
• Deliver goods and materials to designated locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Load and unload materials using the HIAB crane.
• Undertaking daily vehicle checks ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy.
• Maintain a successful delivery rate adhering to ETA's
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and complete necessary paperwork.
• You will also require good communication and customer service skills, with an enthusiastic approach to all tasks.
• £160.00 Per day, Ltd / Umbrella Pay.

 To Be Successful:

• You will have previous experience as a Hiab Driver
• You will hold a minimum Class 2 (Class C) license.
• No More Than 6 Penalty Points (due to insurance purposes no DR’s, IN’s and must be aged 25yrs or older).
• You will hold in-date DCPC and a Digital Tachograph cards.
• You will ideally have previous experience delivering plant machinery and accessories to and from site.
• Strapping Down Experience is essential.
• Excellent knowledge of EU driver’s hours & working time regulations.
• Confident When Using a Sat-Nav & PDA: Familiarity with technology.
• Timekeeping and using your initiative will be important aspects of the role, so you should be proficient in these skills.
