Logistics Coordinator

Streamline Services are recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator on behalf of our client, a leading supply chain, logistics and warehousing solutions company, based near Witham. 

This is a full-time 12-month FTC, working hours are Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm. Due to the location not being accessible on public transport you will need to have a valid driver’s licence and access to your own vehicle. 

Responsibilities: 

1. Responsible for Managing Imports and some Exports shipments via Sea and Air Freight 
2. Opening new jobs onto system and logging information onto Cargowise system 
3. Booking transport of containers 
4. Clearing incoming and occasionally outgoing containers as efficiently as possible
5. Monitoring the progress of shipments from origin to final destination 
6. Customs entries
7. Obtaining/uploading customs and port health documentation 
8. Liaising with customers via phone and email on a daily basis

Requirements: 

1. Previous Logistics/shipping experience (Import/Export) 
2. Air/Sea Freight experience 
3. Working knowledge of Cargowise or similar system 
4. Proficient IT skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel & Word
5. Ability to work under pressure and to a time limit in a fast-paced environment 
6. Excellent attention to detail
