Warehouse Operations Manager

Streamline Recruitment are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager on behalf of our client, a global freight forwarder, based near Basildon, Essex.

This is a full-time permanent position, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm salary NEG DOE.

Responsibilities: 

• Coordinate all logistics operations within the local depot as well as all activity within the warehouse and with third-party providers
• Manage projects, ensuring deadlines and targets are met
• Schedule, coordinate, and direct logistics functions according to existing documented policies and procedures to ensure all SLAs are achieved
• Communicate effectively with the warehouse team regarding the day-to-day operation
• Follow up on quality audit results, ensuring any action points are completed in a timely manner, logged correctly and worked on as planned
• Handling training to relevant employees on logistics procedures and customised logistics procedures and requirements for new and existing customers
• Manage the Logistics department, ensuring all reviews are completed and effective, meaningful KPI's are set and reviewed
• Identify, recommend, and implement changes and enhancements to the department as required
• Abide to the Compliance Policies and Procedures of the Company
• Take reasonable care of your own and other people’s Health & Safety in the workplace
• In addition to this you are required to carry out any other duties requested by your manager

Requirements: 

• The successful candidate will have excellent Logistics/ Warehouse Operations Management experience to apply
• Experience of setting team KPI's and conducting performance reviews
• Proven record of implementing new logistics clients
• Strong Problem-Solving skills and can work well under pressure
• Ability to build strong, successful working relationships with customers and employees alike
• Organisation and commercial awareness
• Teamwork player
• Flexibility and adaptability
• Flexible approach to duties and tasks
• Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure / cost of poor quality
• Consistently manages the task in hand
• Full UK driving license
