The company
We are working with well-established Mechanical & Electrical contractor, known for delivering quality design and build projects across a wide range of sectors such as commercial & TV studios. Due to continued growth the business are looking for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team in Dartford.

The Role
As an Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of electrical systems within our design and build projects. You’ll be overseeing all aspects of the electrical elements, from initial design through to installation and commissioning, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards with a lot of client facing included.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of electrical works for multiple projects.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring successful project outcomes.
  • Act as the main point of contact for electrical project issues, liaising with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure that electrical installations comply with current regulations, industry standards, and client specifications.
  • Oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and services, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and timely delivery.
  • Monitor project progress, providing regular updates and reports to senior management.
  • Identify and resolve any technical issues or potential risks, ensuring minimal disruption to project schedules.
  • Manage and mentor the electrical team, ensuring that all work is carried out safely and efficiently.

Ideal candidate will have experience in the following

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager, with a strong background in design and build projects within the M&E sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, design principles, and installation practices.
  • Strong understanding of project management processes, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams and collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Experience with software tools such as MS Project or similar project management software is desirable.
